The Beauty in Sierra Leone
Last month FemAfric had the pleasure to collaborate with the amazing talent in Sierra Leone to showcase our new lengths of Fro-Cee Twists. We had a blast putting it together. This shoot was extra special because we shot the pictures at the old Fourah Bay College. Hair can serve as a form of creative expression on how one chooses to contribute to the world. So why not slay you all with a quick history lesson. Fourah Bay College is the very first university in West Africa, one of the few places in pre-Independence Africa to offer post-secondary education to Africans from across the continent.
Our mission is to the change the way you think about hair. And if we can do that by dropping you all with a history lesson here and there, we will do just that. Check out some of the picture we took and feel free to tell us what you think.
